Empowerment: Life Skills
Build Skills. Strengthen your future.
Henrico Empowerment Series provides practical, empowering life-skills education for people impacted by substance use or incarceration while remaining open and helpful to anyone in the community who may benefit.
This no-cost series will be offered to the public from October 2026 through February 2027, with courses hosted at Fairfield Area Library, 1401 N Laburnum Ave. for adults 18 and older.
These workshops are designed to build financial stability, job readiness, everyday life management, emotional support, recovery awareness, community connection and foundational technology skills. Each workshop is delivered by a partner organization with expertise in that specific topic area.
Registration is free and can be completed either online or by phone at 804-727-8667. Interested participants are not required to attend every single session, but are encouraged to attend one event per topic.
